Meet Our Company’s Founder And Principal
Brig Black is the Founder and Principal of Elevation Land Company, a San Diego based industrial real estate development and investment company that specializes in entitlement, re-positioning and ground-up development. Brig founded the company in 2022, and is currently developing Otay Business Park, the largest new industrial warehouse distribution project underway in San Diego County, which comprises 119 acres and will deliver 1.8 million square feet at full build-out.

During Brig’s 25-year career, he has negotiated and structured hundreds of commercial real estate acquisition, disposition and lease transactions in the industrial, office, R&D and life science product types worth hundreds of millions in consideration.
From 2012 through 2021, Brig served as Executive Vice President – Southern California and the San Diego Regional Partner for Lincoln Property Company.
Experienced
Prior to Lincoln, Mr. Black served as Director of Leasing, Senior Vice President and a Principal of The Shidler Group during his 12-year tenure. The Shidler Group was a highly successful institutional joint-venture platform focused on acquiring opportunistic and value-added commercial real estate in partnership with institutional co-investors.

Education and Affiliations
An active participant in NAIOP, Brig served on the San Diego Board of Directors for nine years and served as its 2012 San Diego Board President. Mr. Black holds a B.A in Finance from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
